Despite being the Highest Employer Market with an 80% claim of Employee Pool, the MSMEs have an Average Survival Rate of 3.8 Years . Most MSMEs lack Sustainability Mechanisms.

According to a study by Statista, the Average Survival Rate of Startups in Africa was 75% after One Year, 46% after Three Years, and 25% after Five Years in 2020. These Numbers are slightly lower than the Global Average, which was 78%, 50% and, 33% respectively. Year 1 Start-Up Survival - 75% Survival Percentage after 5 Years- 25%

Despite being among the top four most funded countries in Africa Kenya has not turned a unicorn.

Out of 7.4million MSMEs in Kenya 5.8million MSMEs operate unlicensed.

Research by FKE shows that there is lack of competence, skill and experiences for the graduates and this therefore translates to entrepreneurs coming for the same pool.
